SOURCE: Cabrio rotor position sensor
ok lets try... first off you need to have the f51 code. then if you do, you do have a "rps"sensor that has failed.
get under the unit and you will see the large disc with an allen set screw holding it to the tub. remove the screw and it will pull off. then there will be 4 screws holding the rotor windings to the tub with a few wires on the sensor.
remove the screws and then the rotor will pull off and you will have the windings and sensor in your hands. when you get this all of it will be very confusing as the wires and sensor are just held into place by plastic tabs. if you have a new sensor that will help you to know that you are dealing with the right part. then unhook the wires from the sensor and next remove the sensor from the rotor windings
there is an arrow mark to show you where to put the sensor back into place, but its not easy.
thats why i get paid the big bucks!!!!!
anyway you can try this but dont get upset or mad, its just not easy for the first time you do it, but if you do it for a living then it gets easier the more times you do it.
of course i know you will only do it once but thats the best i can offer here.
