I don't think that you could program/change the freq of your Motorola GP2000 manually since newer Motorola radios today everything is done by computer and programming sotfware. You need to have software for GP2000, radio interface box ( RIB) and programming cable for GP2000 radio and these devices are not cheap. The best way is to contact a local repair shop to have it done for you or find a two-way radio technician, he could do this if he has all the test equipments required.

Yea it is possible to manually program gp2000.Swith on while pressing the Squelch soft button just above the PTT button. A beep will be heard and RW with a square box is displayed at screen.Now press Chanel change button to go your desired channel. now press PTT button the menu goes ahead until you reach TX. Here enter your desired trans frequency by keypad now again press PTT and you will reach RX that is your receive frequency.
