Maytag neptune tl

my he maytag makes a squeaking noise and it wont fill up. could there be a sock stuck in there or something. and the lock wont lock.

You are going to need a complete L.H. Lid lock assembly. p/n 25001048 Google for best price.

You have the issue of the Lid Locks no releasing so even after a replacemant L.H. Lid lock assembly (not cheap) you have the root cause issue to troubleshoot.

You have lost signaling thru the Left Hand Lid lock or you could have a Lid Magnet out of posistion;

You have lost signaling from the Left Hand Lid lock.

The 1st easy test is with the lid open place a magnet over the Grey Bumper on the left side and see if the OP error code clears.

Ypu don't mention in your description but I assume your machine is throwing an OP or DO error code.

The washer lid is open. The lid must be closed to start cycle. Close the lid and press Start/Pause.
