Ice maker the ice maker seems to do everything but dump ice into the ice tray

I am having the same problem. Fridge is now 2 days old. There is only q cup of ice created. I can feel it in there but it won't dump.

sounds like the icemaker timing or motor is bad. those parts are not replaceable on this model, you would need a new icemaker assembly

It sounds like the water inlet for your ice maker is now frozen. Blast a hair dryer around the waterinlet to the ice maker for 5-10 minutes, reconnect the ice-maker and you should hear the sweet sound of flowing water

I.M 6 electronic Ice makers are non servicable, replace the ice maker. throw the other in the trash can.
If ice is in the ice maker then you know it got water but didnt dump the ice. its the ice maker.

The first thing I would check is the cleanliness of the condenser coil under the fridge. Make sure the fan under there is running, and that the coil is clear of dust. The ice maker requires 15 degrees for a period of time before it will make ice and dump. If the temp in the freezer is colder than this, then it is likely the ice maker needs replaced. They can be replaced fairly easily with just a couple tools. (1/4" nut driver and a flat screw driver). There is a plug where it plugs into the freezer side wall, and a bent tube that supplies water to the tray. If not sure what to do, have a service tech look at it.

LG has a new ice cube tray that will solve this problem. The part number is 3390JA1150A The wall will stop the overflow.

Sailor, Samsung put out a service flash on your model regarding the ice maker fill tube. What is happening is that ice is forming on both ends of the fill tube. When the ice tray twists in the harvest it is hitting on the fill tube and pulling it from it's mount. Could this be why the drive motor seems to weak. The flash number is ASC20060525001. They redesigned the fill tube, part number DA63-02928A. Just trying to help you find an answer...Catriver..post back.
