Player not playing movies

Try the DVD in another player, if it works fine, the problem is with your player, not the disc.

check and see if the dvd player needs to be cleaned. you can pick up contaminates from other dvd's or cd's get yourself a dvd disk cleaner and run it thru seveveral times . and try to play your money then.

Is the movie a store purchased movie or is it a movie that someone copied and gave to you? Computers sometimes have problems reading or playing a dvd or cd that someone else made and gave to you. Try a store purchased music cd or store purchased movie dvd and see if the player plays it.

Check what format the Movie Download is and check the Error when playing the movie, most probably this is a Codec issue one reason why the move cannot be played.
If you are using Windows Media player you may need Codecs updated on your computer, also try download VLC player try playing the Movide on VLC player if still it will not play download codec see the LINK provided for the Download of the Codecs, after you click the link select the Full Version and install it on your computer.

you have to install add-on codec for playing movies with different types of file extension name

Try downloading VLC media player or GOM player.They are free.
You can also try installing either k lite mega codec pack (free) or All-in -One Codec packs.Is it just a problem with this movie??Do you have problems playing other avi files??

you need to install proper codec for this so go online and download codec pack

not sure whether its a problem with the drive or a problem with windows media player. Take a can of air and blow some onto the laser of the dvd drive, this will make sure that there is no dirt or dust on the laser.

Once you do that put the dvd back into the drive. Give it about 20-30 seconds and then see if it tries to pull up the movie if it does and your getting errors from windows media player then we know that the drive is working cause its seeing the movie properly.

At that point, I would suggest downloading the latest version of windows media player.

After doing that and installing it, try playing your movie again, in fact try several movies just to make sure. Windows Media player may want to download Codecs, if it does then let it. This will allow it to recognize dvds better and quicker.

If the codecs are updated and you still can't get it to see and play movies then I would suggest using a different dvd player such as Cyberlink PowerDVD located on this page:

First make sure the disc is compatible with the dvd player (CD-R+ , or CD-R - )

Second make sure the region code of the dvd you burned is compatible with the dvd region settings on your dvd player.

One of those two are preventing the disc from playing in your sansui player.
