How do I fix a bi-fold closet door that came off the track

I'm guessing that you are referring to the wheel guide on the floating panel. You may have to remove the door completely in order to re-install it. At the pivot points (upper & lower) next to the jam; the upper one may or may not be spring loaded, the bottom one is threaded usually with a beveled head with teeth on it. You'll need a flat-bar or someone to lift up on the door as you thread the pivot bolt back into the door, allowing enough play to pop it off of the seat plate. The bi-fold will have to be open(the panels flat across). Tilt the bottom of the doors out, this will allow you to re-set both the upper pivot in its bracket and the guide roller on the floating panel in the track at the same time. Re-position the doors in the opening with the lower pivot over its bracket and re-adjust(thread down) the lower pivot until it holds the door up in the track. (Take care as to the position of the lower pivot in its bracket as it also adjusts the clearance for the door to swing/pivot next to the jam!!) {The upper pivot bracket(in the track) can also be adjusted for closeness to the jam}. It is important that these pivot points be plum(straight up& dn) They can cause the bi-fold to tilt; or cause the roller guide on the forward door to either move up, or dip down as it travels out to the open position.

The control arm spring in the front of the head unit wont stay in when i push the red thing on back to start vacumming!! help!!

Hi there,

If you're referring to the locking arm, which holds the cleaner head in position when the cleaner is standing upright, I can reassure you that it's designed to disengage when you recline the cleaner into the vacuuming position. By doing so, it allows the cleaner head to pivot freely as you steer the machine around obstacles, maintaining close contact with the floor surface for optimum performance.

However, if this is not the component you're referring to, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you, and recommend the best course of action. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards,

Once I've folded my phil & ted vibe (in single mode) the locking clips won't fold into place (I've used as much force as I dare -- worried I might break the clips if I try any harder). This makes it...

When folding the Vibe some important things to remember are that the handlebar must be in the most upright position (perpendicular to the ground), nothing can be below the rear axle level (ie. lift the basket up above this) and the front single wheel should have the side with the attachment bar on the outside.
The fold locks will not engage if everything is not in the correct position. If everything is in the correct position the fold locks will easily engage/disengage. If everything is NOT in the correct position the fold locks will not engage and should not be forced.

Folding:
  1. Put handle bar in upright position.

  2. Undo the side lock clips. Then you lift the red lever on the side to start the fold. Fold so that the pram front wheel and handle come together.

  3. As the pram folds ensure basket is above rear axle and the front wheel has the attachment bar on the outside.

  4. When the pram is fully folded you can fold the side lock clips back in place.

  1. NOTE: During installation, it is necessary to pull the locking tab out to its full open (unlatched) position and hold while assembling the pivot arm onto the mounting arm and pivot shaft. Align the key on the pivot arm head with the keyway on the shafts. This will make sure the pivot arm is correctly aligned. If necessary, the key can be removed. To adjust wiper pivot arms, refer to Wiper Blade and Pivot Arm Adjustment in this section.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Kenmore upright vacuum model 116.35923500. not rotating when on. Easy way to clean without taking apart?

There is a switch that tells the cleaner that the upright is locked upright and the beater bar won't spin until you depress the foot release and tilt the cleaner. This switch mount is poorly designed, its just sitting in a pocket at the pivot of the cleaner. I had to double stick tape it in the pocket to keep it from moving around and put silicone spray on the pivot. The pivot actuates the switch, but its a bad design.
  • Remove front cover, to do this, pull out the bag, remove the screws under the bag and on the outside. 12 screws total.
  • Locate switch on pivot
  • Confirm mounting of switch, re-adjust and use tape or epoxy.
  • Reassemble and test.
  • This is for a Kenmore 35923500 upright direct drive.

2.7L & 3.5L Engines same Tools & Procedure Rate Me Please 1/2 in. breaker bar & Special Tool 7198 for conventional V-belts and Poly-V belts
  1. REMOVAL
    AIR CONDITIONING BELT

NOTE: The A/C drive belt self tensioner is NOT a dynamic tensioner. After adjustment the tensioner bracket bolts are tightened. The torsion spring is no longer responsible for tensioning the A/C belt. The torsion spring is only used for initial belt tensioning.
    1. Remove generator/power steering belt to gain access to A/C belt. Refer to GENERATOR/POWER STEERING BELT for procedure.

    1. Loosen BUT DO NOT REMOVE tensioner locking bolt and pivot bolt (Fig. 2).
    2. Insert 1/2" drive breaker bar into square opening on belt tensioner. Rotate tensioner counterclockwise until belt can be removed from pulleys (Fig. 2).
    3. Slowly rotate tensioner clockwise to relieve spring load.
    CLEANING
Clean all foreign debris from belt pulley grooves. The belt pulleys must be free of oil, grease, and coolants before installing the drive belt.

    INSPECTION
Belt replacement under any or all of the following conditions is required:
    • Excessive wear
    • Frayed cords
    • Severe glazing
  • Poly-V Belt system may develop minor cracks across the ribbed side (due to reverse bending). These minor cracks are considered normal and acceptable. Parallel cracks are not (Fig. 3).

    NOTE:
Do not use any type of belt dressing or restorer on Poly-V Belts. INSTALLATION

    AIR CONDITIONING BELT - NEW

WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE A/C BELT TENSIONER LOCKING BOLT WITHOUT FIRST HOLDING THE TENSIONER WITH A 1/2" DRIVE BREAKER BAR, AS PERSONAL INJURY COULD RESULT.

Can't get the stroller to "lock" in open position

well, to you all fellow combi stroll users: when the stroller is open, to fold it up, you pull up on the side black tabs, like a syringe, using index and middle finger. then manually rotate the lateral edges of the top push bar, and it will fold into itself. then the black locking bar should meet up and click into the front middle locking tab. this is what locks it into place to keep it folded up. and this is what must be released in order to open up the stroller. once the release bar is pushed up, the stroller should unfoled and just "pop" into place. babys r us sells this product, so i'm sure an employee can demonstrate as well.
