How to reset the temperature on the danby silhouette wine refrigerator

Temperature shows 73 and 71. How do we lower the temperature or reset it to the 50's?

Been trying this for weeks and no luck. It is stuck at 65 and 66 degrees, similar I guess to the room temp here in the basement. Tired to reset many ways, none worked. Needs to go back.

Our cooler is only about a year old and was only used for about 4 months before being stored.  Now we've moved and plugged it in and it is getting HOTTER instead of colder.

The temperatures will no longer reset and remain in the mid 70s, above room temperature, slowly cooking our wine... the motor, which was quite loud when the Danby was working, has gone silent. Warranty long since expired.

    Suggestions, anyone?

Our beverage center is only a few months old, and both sides are stuck at "HI" and "HI", and it cooked all of our wine, all 24 bottles are now vinegar! Does anyone know how to fix this?

This happened to me, I found that the cooler would not go below 70 degrees because the cooler had lost its coolant or wouldn't work. I do not know, but as it was under warranty, an appliance repairman came and said that it was worth fixing, so it was replaced with in a week. Normally you would just hole the button in until the desired temperature is selected. Once released the cooler would attempt to set this temperature. If it is not, then I suspect it too is broken. Good luck.

Purchased in 2010. Temperature doesn't fall below 55F. Fan works. Sounds like compressor is working. Haven't physically inspected compressor. Used to cool to 39F.

May be both. Is the evaporator blocked or have ice built up on it? If so there could be two reasons for that. Low on freon or not enough airflow inside the cabinet.

I also just brought home a used Danby Silhouette 166-bottle wine fridge and it is not cooling. Did you have someone come look at yours and did you get it fixed?

My refrigerator keeps going into freeze mode instead of the temperature that i programmed into it.

if unit has a thermistat you need a thermistat if it has a digital diplay you need a control and thermistor. these are what controls the temps when they get to desired temp

Danby DWC513BLS does not cool. Fan is on, but compressor does not turn on to lower temperature even when temperature is turned down. Where does one get parts for this online

Before you worry about where to get parts, you need to know what is wrong and what parts you will need. When a compressor does not run but the fan motor does, then either the compessor is bad (in which case you need refrigeration expertise) or the starter components have failed ( in which case you can replace. The two most common failed parts are the start relay or the overload (both attached to the compressor. Goodluck, Macgivor

I found a repairman who knows how to replace failed thermostats using other than OEM equipment.

Danby Silhouette DWC513BLS lower back fan noise.

Called Danby customer service. Requested repleacement part of lower fan unit. Located at bottom right on back of unit. Part was $6.68 plus shipping. Less than $10 total. At my door in 3 days. Plug and play piece that was easy to change. A very cheap fix and I hate to think what a service call would have been. Danby ph # is 800-263-2629.,
