My Scott Remote Control #KC01-B1 one night just would not connect to the sensor in my tv. I thought my batteries were low and changed them. The remote would still not work. I went to a Radio Shack store in New Milford, CT and asked the person there if I put the batteries in wrong and explained my problem and said since the TV was only 3 years old bought on 2/1/07, he did not know why I was having this problem. Since then, I have bought 2 Universal remote controls and have not been able to put the tv on with it and have to do it manually. Is there a way I can send my Scott remote to see if it can be repaired as I am very frustrated and disappointed in the Scott product. Or do you have any suggestions. yes the sensors on all sets go bad and the remote signals will never get to the eprom chip that takes the signals and processes them

I recently bought a used LCT2060 that had no remote. I figured my comcast cable remote would work without a problem but it didn't. So 3 universal remotes later I found my solution...a radio shack universal gamer remote. It controls up to 5 components plus your xbox360, playstation and pc. Whatever circuit board the remote signal is received on is faulty.

I have an Akai 42"lct & had the same problem. I bought an universal remote URC R6 at walmart for $19. I can now control the tv, u-vrerse cable, panasonic surround system & still have the aux open. You must use the "learn" method but I can control channels, volume, record, menues for all devices as well as setup, record for dvr & more. I hope this helps.........
