My Scott Remote Control #KC01-B1 one night just would not connect to the sensor in my tv. I thought my batteries were low and changed them. The remote would still not work. I went to a Radio Shack store in New Milford, CT and asked the person there if I put the batteries in wrong and explained my problem and said since the TV was only 3 years old bought on 2/1/07, he did not know why I was having this problem. Since then, I have bought 2 Universal remote controls and have not been able to put the tv on with it and have to do it manually. Is there a way I can send my Scott remote to see if it can be repaired as I am very frustrated and disappointed in the Scott product. Or do you have any suggestions. Thank you and looking forward to having you help me in my dilemma.

The Scott remote is 3 years old,it out warrenty and it junk now.The Scott remote control the CPU chip is dead, that why the tv sensor is not sensing the Scott remote anymore.Return those 2 universal remotes to the store, where u bought them.No used,if those codes on the owner manual for those 2 universal remotes don't function the tv.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an exact remote to the old Scott remote.

Before you throw any more money at this problem, have you considered that the problem might be with the Infra-red (IR) receiver in the TV?

Also, did you programme the correct codes for your Scott TV into the universal remote/s? If you can let me know the model number/s of the universal remote/s - and you still have them - I can probably verify the codes and the programming instructions.

Hope this helps.

I have a Akai PDP5073TM with a Akai KC01-A1 control and the remote control is not working.

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site with patience. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

Need setup codes for Akai KC01-B2 to run with comcast remote

I recently bought a used LCT2060 that had no remote. I figured my comcast cable remote would work without a problem but it didn't. So 3 universal remotes later I found my solution...a radio shack2_bing.gif universal gamer remote. It controls up to 5 components plus your xbox360, playstation and pc. The price on sale was a mere 12.97, not bad if you ask me. Hope this helped. The code that worked for the Akai2_bing.gif was 11676. Take care...
