Gordon, any chance you can repost that sketch? I'm trying to figure out this very same thing. Thanks in advance.
Hi Jeff, Can't seem to locate that sketch, but since I have an Indigo in my watch drawer I'll try to redraw it. I hope it is as good as the old one, if not feel free to ask questions.
Gordon, thank you for the reply. It looks like you attached another picture, but I can't view that one either. Either I'm doing something wrong on this site or don't have access? Any chance you can email to me? jmirch at ya hoo Thanks again!
Gordon, I was using Google Chrome. Tried IE and was able to view your picture. Worked like a charm! Thank you so very MUCH!!!
I just removed stem on an Indiglo wr10M. It looks different from the picture; but there is a thing to push down somewhat outboard of what's shown.
This worked for my son's Indiglo Peanuts watch with one extra step - remove the battery and the plate with 2 black rivets is right there.

SOURCE: Timex Expedition Compass watch stops randomly.
Some watches have crowns that screw in after being pushed home, is this the case with yours? If it is then that could cause the problem described. (Turn crown clockwise).
I looked at one or two of the Expedition instructions (the are a lot) but couldn't find any mention of a screw in crown.
I suggest that you go to Timex.com and at the bottom of the page is "manuals/downloads" select this and the "product manuals". Put your watch type in the search box to obtain your manual.
If you are still not able to solve the problem, the I suggest you take it back to a Timex dealer to sort it out.

mcdevito75 Here, I've myself ruined a number of watches with Quartz movements trying to remove the stem, see your local jeweler and have them do it. Look for the small watch repair shops to save some money.
SOURCE: Can't get the back plate of a Timex Indiglo WR30M watch back on
To open watch case, hold back of watch up with arrow pointer on the back plate pointing to the right. There is a pry point on the upper edge where you will see a small arrow pointing. Use a small flat end screw driver to pry the watch case open. Be sure to replace the back the same way with the arrow pointing away from the setting knob.
Take a 1-1/4 inch paddle bit and drill a hole in a 1-3/4 inch wide piece of wood about 1/8 inch deep. Then take another piece of wood about 2 inches long by 3/4 inch thick by 1 inch wide to lay across the back of the case plate. Place the crystal of the watch in the drilled hole. Used a vise or clamp with the watch between the two blocks of wood to press the back on. Be careful not to over press. Works great
