I THINK THE BUZZING IS THE COMPRESSOR TRYING TO START,ALSO LOOK ON THE BACK OF FREEZER AND SEE IF THE WALL HAS FROST ON IT,IF IT DOES YOU HAVE A BAD DEFROST HEATER OR TERMINATOR OR IT IS STUCK IN DEFROST,LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU KIND,ALSO YOU SHOULD UNPLUG IF YOU FIND THE COMPRESSOR IS TRYING TO START BUT WILL NOT,PULL OUT FRIG. AND SEE IF YOU HEAR THE CLICKING SOUND,ALSO PUT HAND ON COMP. TO FEEL IF RUNNING,BECAREFUL MIGHT BE HOT

PLHS267ZA is leaking water from the bottom (freezer side)

I would look under the fridge for a drip pan that might be full, so when it defrost it overflows the pan and runs on the floor. If not that you must have a blockage somewhere in the drain line that runs to the drip pan. Take out the shelves and take off the plastic panels to access the drain and drain line, pour some warm water down the drain to unplug it.

Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator, evaporator fan not running

As insignificant as it may seem, that evap fan motor is as important as petrol in a car. That fan controls the fridge cooling on many fridges and circulation in tha freezer compartment. Replace it with the correct one and you should see a functional fridge/ freezer again. Note, i wouldnt run unit without it for long, as condensig temperatures run high and compressors dont last long.

My frigidaire gallery FRS26ZSH refrige side is not working but the freezer seems to be keeping things cold... the fan motor is running, is this a compressor problem? help

How to check everything
http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

My daughter's mini fridge has a freezer compartment. Her issue is, if she turns it up high enough so the freezer freezes, the fridge compartment also freezes everything; if she turns it down so that the...

This is a drawback of most mini-fridges. Start by defrosting everything. Then fill ice cube trays with water and keep lowering the setting until the water freezes. Just go a little lower, no more. Fridge should not freeze food. If the fridge stays closed all the time food will freeze. Also if the freezer element gets ice buildup it must be defrosted. Not automatic like home fridge. Most kids today weren't born when the last fridges that had to be defrosted were in service.

PLHS267ZA

The guide that funnels the water into the ice maker needs to be replaced. The cause of your problem is that water is leaking into the back, freezing there, and blocking the air flow. Mine sounded like an idling semi truck with engine problems.

Refrigerator and freezer not working good

drip tray usually located at bottom of fridge at rear.sounds like defrost timer is no good, some models can be manually manipulated its located at bottom front panel or at back of fridge,if this is the case defrosting the fridge results in operation o.k. for a short period then gradually dying again

Frigidaire gallery model plhs267Za

It sure sounds like a compressor problem to me. The buzzing sound is the compressor trying to start followed by a click which would be the overload protector tripping.
