When turned on, the unit sounds like it will start then turns off within a minute.

A Fedders Model A6Y18F7A-L 2 years old now has the same issue as last year. Turn the unit on, motor kicks on for about 1 minute with no air blowing out. After 30 - 60 seconds it kicks off. 1st time on for the season, it has been off for about 6 or 7 months. Only used for 3 months the first season. Had to have the blower replaced after the 1st season. Now the unit is doing the same thing. Is there some kind of a recall or issue with this type of air conditioner... Thanks for any help !!

My Humidifier is 2 years old. It worked fine and now there is an "EC" code on panel

Unit malfunction. Dehumidifiers are designed to function within specific temperate ranges, usually between 50 and 80 degrees. Make sure that the ambient temperature of the room is within the range of your dehumidifier. Try not to run it continuously.

Frigidaire Gallery model GLEQ2170KSO dryer turns off within a minute.

Hello allisonarena - Try reprogramming the dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on the unit. If issue persists, then the dryer may possibly be experiencing more serious issues such as; wiring failure, faulty control board, thermal limiter, or defective door switch. I would recommend connecting with an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further and to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

Unit Turns Off

Have you checked the breaker in the breaker box to see if it's tripped? Also check the amp rating on the air conditioner and the amp rating on the breaker the unit is plugged into, the breaker may be weak or not a high enough amps or rating for the unit it's trying to power.

Shut off within minutes after turning on

HELLO ... THERE IS A THERMOSTAT SENSING BULB THAT MAYBE OUT OF PLACE OR TOUCHING THE COIL. ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR CURTAINS ARE CLEAR FROM YOUR UNIT BY AT LEAST 3". IF YOU CAN SEE THE REMOTE SENSING BULB OR ALUMINUM LINE, WARM IT UP WITH YOUR HAND AND SEE IF YOUR UNIT CONTINUES TO CYCLE OFF. IF IT DOES CHANCES ARE YOUR THERMOSTAT IS BAD. IT IS NOT EXPENSIXE ... UNDER $30.

Starting system cold, no sound for 2-3 minutes

Its not worth having it looked at. $100.00 for a new 400.00 unit? My unit is doing the same thing. Turn it on and 2 to 5 minutes later it may come on. Change to video 3 4 5 etc it stop again. Only works with a cold start. Something in the unit has failed and is heat related. My original Kenwood 20/20 recevier still works. Must be 40 years old. New products just last 5 to ten years max if your lucky.
