One of the more common problems with printers as it relates to paper jams, is that the paper stacked in the tray hasn't been fanned. What I mean is, it's like holding a paper-back book in your hand and skimming quickly through the pages with your thumb as your other hand holds it at the spine. printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.
