Kettler Marathon ST threadmill stuck on blinking HR

If your Kettler Marathon ST treadmill is stuck at the blinking HR (heart rate) screen and is unresponsive to button presses, here are a few suggestions you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the safety key: Ensure that the safety key is properly inserted into the console. The treadmill may not respond if the safety key is not properly engaged.
  2. Reset the treadmill: Locate the power switch or unplug the treadmill from the power source. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes to allow the internal electronics to reset. Then, plug it back in or turn the power switch back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches or errors.
  3. Inspect the console connections: Open the console cover and check the connections between the console and the rest of the treadmill. Make sure all cables and connectors are securely plugged in. Loose or disconnected cables can cause communication issues and affect the functionality of the console.
  4. Clean the console buttons: Over time, dirt, dust, or debris can accumulate around the console buttons, preventing them from registering presses. Gently clean the buttons and the surrounding area using a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners that could damage the console.
  5. Perform a console reset: Look for a small reset button or hole on the console. Using a paperclip or a similar object, press and hold the reset button for a few seconds. This will perform a console reset, which may resolve certain software or configuration issues.
  6. Consult the user manual: Refer to the user manual or documentation that came with your Kettler Marathon ST treadmill. Look for specific troubleshooting steps or contact information for technical support.

My kettler tx1 marathon running machine causes the electricity to swith off in the house. This occurs when I start the treadmill, not when I simply switch it on. Any idea as to the cause?

The motor or the Motor control board is faulty. Can be the motor brush or the shorted igbt transistor in the motor contol board. If you wish to get some more details about treadmill repair then check the following link.

Treadmill won't start

If you have a multi meter I would first check the AC outlet follow the path (power cord, on/off switch, fuse holder, motor control board) to see if their is any power interruption . Also I have to ask is the safety lanyard attached to the upper console. Hope this give you some direction.

Message in the display "err 2" and my kettler treadmill doesn't work

Hi Rendra,

Try this:
Switch the treadmill off and then on again.
Push the "minus" speed button and the "stop" button simultanuously.

If all is well you will now have entered the maintenance mode.

Next push the "plus" speed button and the "stop"button smultanuously.
Now you you've reached the error mode.

Push the "plus" or "minus" speed button to browse the error codes untill you've reached "L er".
The push start to erase the message.

Turn the power off and then on again to restart the treadmill.

With any luck the error has disappeared and the treadmill will function again. If not.....you'll have to contact Kettler.

Btw...This error occurs when the belt is "pushed" by the runner. For example when you put weight on the handlebar and the push your feet backwards.
