Comment by madd4, posted on May 24, 2008 I tried to turn on my Sony FD Trintitron Wega KV-34BR800 34" TV with NO luck. The standby keeps blinking 7 times. Once the Sony FD came back on and was ok until I turned the set off... now it's back to the standby blinking 7 times mode. We called Sony which connected us with a Tech that came out to the house... the bad news it was the D board and that it would cost $559.05. He added this happens all the time. Of Course you know what I think of Sony products now. It's probably smarter to purchase a new TV.
The part # for the d board is A-1300-319-A pts corp can rebuild it for about $250 www.ptscorp.com
How reconnect the red and white wire on the D-board?
These 'D' boards can be sent to Sony for repair- cheaper than replacing with new board. Find a reputable Sony repair shop

Haven’t been on-line… had some trouble with my computer. Today, QU***SERV TECH came out to my home and put in a D-Board. The TV is working now. I told the Tech that my husband wanted the old board but the Tech said he has to take the old D-Board and ship it back to Sony. I ask him why and he said it's like purchasing breaks for an auto - you have to return the part (core) or my company will be charged $150. He insisted on taking the board... I couldn't wrestle him to the floor. I’m sorry I did not get more advise from www.fixya.com. It's weird that I was charged $263.48 for the part and SONY wants the old board back? Total job was $559.05. Thank you!!!
