Answering machine i would like toknow how i could call home and retreive my messages

It appears that your telephone service company's voice mail service is active and there is where the message is being left.

What make and model answering machine?

call your home phone
when it goes to voice mail press "*"
enter log in information

You can't do that. The messages are gone.

call your own phone number... when the greeting comes on, try pressing the asterisk key. hopefully a prompt will come on asking you for your password... oh yeah you have to set up password.. start there

Most answering machines have a 'remote code' to access messages via remote. (from another phone line when you aren't at home.) Look for the manual or look on the bottom of the unit itself.

If you do not see a code for it. Or have the manual, find your model online and the manufacturer should have the user manual online for free. It should provide the code for remote access.

Typically, you call the phone, when the answering machine picks up, you would dial the security code and the answering machine will then start playing your messages.

I have the same machine. There is no way to retreive it. You may be able to pay someone a lot of money to some how extract it off the chip but it would have to be a really important message and even then I do not know for sure if it is possible.

G.E. has discontinued this product and no longer supports it.

There is no retreival of deleted messages. I went to the VTech web page, downloaded the PDF manual, and read the notations there.
