That is normal, because the touchpad requires a driver. Windows 7, fortunately, comes with driver installation through the Windows Update.

Simply launch Windows update (Start Menu> type "Windows Update" > hit 'enter'), and select all the updates and hit update. You could also manually do it, by going to Toshiba's website, finding your computer model in the "support" category, and finding the appropriate touch-pad driver. (I believe it would be called "Synaptic Touchpad Driver").

Did you Install Windows 7?
When was the last time you did the windows update?
Did you do the drivers update by any chance? If yes Then roll back the drivers.

The Targus ACP50US Docking Station does not seem to have an updated driver for Windows 7. You can attempt to install the docking station using the driver found at this link but that may not work as it is only meant to be used for Windows 2000, XP, and Vista. I'm sorry but if that driver does not work, the docking station will not work until there is a new driver for Windows 7.

If your internet connection is working in Windows 7, I suggest you try obtaining the drivers through Windows Update. Click Start > All Programs > Windows Update > Turn on Windows Update. A list of available updates will then be downloaded, you will have the option to view them, do so and check off the appropriate drivers or software patches you need and click Install. You can also check the manufacturer's website for patches, updated drivers or to simply find out about Windows 7 support for the particular product.

Try to do Windows Update. I am also using Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit on a different acer machine and windows update took care of all the hardware updates.

• Click on start, type windows update on the search box, click windows update in the result list.

Windows update window will open.

• Click on Check Updates.
  

After it checks for updates, it will show you the important and optional updates.

• Click on "...important updates".
• Check all the important updates, believe me the computer needs it.
• Then click the Optional TAB in the left column.

Hardware updates are shown in this OPTIONAL updates tab.

• Check all, EXCEPT the Language Packs.
• Click OK on the lower right corner of that window.
• Then click on install updates.

Hi, Keeping Windows 7 updated, Microsoft has built a special alert program that not only alerts you about the current operating system's update but also other aspects of an OS such as drivers. As Windows 7 even works with windows Vista drivers, but it is recommended to upgrade all device drivers to get maximum from Windows 7. Best practice to get the update driver is from the manufacturer's website itself.

its becoz windows 7 might not support drivers of your webcam, try reinstalling the windows 7 drivers for your webcam

Re install the driver. Download this Driver Update Software for XP Vista 7 8 and update. I hope this helped

Go to Windows 7 web site and check the equipment compatability list for your monitor.

If it is there - read the particulars

If it is not, complain to the monitor manufacturer - ask them to create a driver for this model.

if asus.com drivers arnt working then the only other thing you can try is looking at the additinal updates in windows update sometimes there are driver updates in there.
