Most refrigerators just get dirty coils and when this happened the air flow does remove the heat properly. I would just give the back side and underneath a good vacuuming and it should work again. If it is an old unit and u can see rust on the coils it might have developed a leak and would need to be repaired. But if that is the cases the cost of a repair is not worth the cost of a new mini fridge

yes. you certainly need to get a technitian out there. it seems that you are having a shortage of gas. if you have a gas shortage, then there must deffinitly be a gas leak somewhere.did you recently try to clean the plate that you mentioned with something shap? if so then you might have punctured it and that is where your gas leak might be. you do get special epoxies that you can do a quick fix, but you will still have to send it to a repair shop to regas and evacuate the unit. good luck

That can be very difficult to do with a mini refrigerator. There is just not enough separation between the freezer and the refrigerator.
You will likely just have to find a compromise setting and accept the results.

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

Sorry about your troubles. Your issue is one of the most common with smaller sized units (using sharp objects to defrost). These units are not frost free and require the system to be turned off for a couple to 24 hours. You can hurry it along by using a hair dryer. In response to your delimma...the hole that was created produced a pressure leak. Some or all of the refrigerant and some oil has escaped. Eventhou you attempted to seal the leak (you did not say how) The operating pressures are not right. The system now needs to be tested to verify if it is sealed properly. If so it would also need the air evacuated from it and the system recharged to factory specs. This is not something a average Joe could do. Specialized equipment is needed and depending on the state, you might need to be licensed. Most small system when this occurs due to cost (average $400.00) would be better off to buy new.
