Hey Kovue, If you just got this camera and the battery won't charge right out of the box you have a few options. You could have the battery replaced by Kodak, and the battery model # is KLIC-7006. You are most likely within your return/ exchange period, and you could just bring the camera back to the retailer and exchange it for a new one. Unfortunately with the number of camera's the manufacturer makes they do sometimes produce a defective product.
