Try hitting <F10> to change boot sequence, I think that CD isn't selected/available, and continues trying to boot from NO OS.

This sounds like a corrupt operating system. The problem could be any number of things. Failing hard drive, Virus, bad ram. You could try to repair the OS with the Operating system disc and use the repair mode that is available.

Compaq Presario CQ57 has red screen with compaq logo on start up and wont go past that screen even when pressing f-buttons

The hard drive has issues or the windows files have been corrupted, remove the hardware and reseat it back in place sometimes this will activate the system, next! use your backup recovery disc if you have one, no change! the hard drive will need to be tested.

I have compaq C772TU Laptop. The problem is that Its hard disk warms up in 3 minutes after startup and after some time it hangs and shows a blue scree error. Please help me out to resolve this problem....

If it has the blue screen error, try to turn off the pc, remove the power cable and battery. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Reseat the cables and battery. turn on the laptop.

If Blue screen occurs, turn off the pc and reseat the Hard Drive. If it still occur, then that is the time to replace the hard Drive..

Compaq Presario CQ60 recovery disc how to use

insert the disc into the drive, restart the computer. If it doesn't boot from disc, restart again.
As it restarts, press and hold F8(may be F2 or F12 depending on the settings)until the boot options screen appears. Using the arrow up/down keys select drive "d" or what ever drive letter represents the drive you put the disc into.
It will now(or should) continue to boot from the disc, follow the onscreen instructions to restore.
