One green vertical line in HDTV Vizio 42

At left side across the screen one green vertical line is all time, what do you think about that?

    me too....has anyone had vizio email them back from support.....I called and they wanted me to email a picture of my screen..crazy

    same problem: 5" wide vertical band of blue on right, and sometimes green on left edge. toshiba 42" lcd 120hz. could it be the hdmi cables are bad?

Try changing the H/V position in the TV Set Up menu. You can adjust the horizontal and vertical position of the screen and move it enough that the green line disappears from the screen.

Just had mine looked at. 50'' vizio plazma. was told it was a power supply moduale. economically not worth fixing. happened after lightning power surge.

Hi Charlene,

please try with video input from any device,and i think you are using local antenna and it has gain problem or your tuner section of the tv is not working correctly.
if distroted pictures comes with video input signal it is video amp and processing unit problem.
you have to go for repair shop for fix that.

Vertical lines across my entire screen
My 42" Samsung Plasma HDTV HP-R4252 has a 2" vertical strip of green pixels down the right side of the screen.

My 3 year warranty with Circuit City expires in Nov 2008.. so I hope I'm covered.. can't call until the morning.

Samsung said it might be a logic board problem.. but they want almost $2000 to fix. I might as well buy another TV if Circuit City can't fix it.

Green vertical lines on the screen
Sounds like you may have some bad filter capacitors in the convergence board. Better take a close look at them before they damage the chips. Good Luck
