ND error, pump runs, but sounds rough, took pump apart and found nothing in the pump or pipe.

If the motor is running but there is no water coming through, it would suggest the pump impellor blades are compromised. It's quite posible that the shaft that drives the blades has snapped. Is it possible to open the pump housing and rotate the blades manually whilst watching the motor to see if it moves? If one moves without the other, then its a new pump I'm afraid. WARNING! Do NOT attempt to do this with the motor connected to the electricity supply.

At the end of cycle washer will not stop filling and overflows. maytag neptune fav6800aww

There is a diaphram switch located in the machine at the bottom right in the rear. When you remove the front panel it will be all the way back on the right. It senses the water level. It has three levels it detects. I had a problem with mine filling too much. That should take care of your problem.

Maytag FAV6800AWW - Major overflow right after starting machine

Hi, If you turn the water source valve on and water starts filling the machine even tho the machine is off, change the inlet valve.
If you have to start the machine so water will fill but, the water does not shut off at the desired level, there is a problem with the water level switch.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Water does not drain from Maytag FAV6800AWW washing machine

Hello jediller,
Your drain pump is 120VAC operated turned on by the control board.
Go to page 16 of the SM and you can turn on the drain pump in Service Mode with the presoak key. Press it again to turn off the drain pump or hit the off button.
Link to some documemtation that may help you thru yout issue. The Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.
Raise the top of the machine. Insert a flat blade putty knife approximately 2.5” from the left and right sides of the washer top, depress the spring tabs securing machine top to the washer base. See page 33 of the SM for putty knife insertion point. Remove the front panel see page 41. You will need a 5/16 nut driver or 5/16 ¼ socket on an extension to remove front panel.
I’m a owner DYI’er like you. What type of issue are you experiencing? Let me know if I can help.
