I need to sync my snowball into cubase sx... its only recording on the left input not the right input of the audio wave. please help get back to work.

This is strictly a software setup problem. I use Sonar, but Cubase has to have the same features. Look for a PAN control and also where you MIGHT be able to select that both channels of the stereo are mapped to the single input. A work-around might be to bounce the input to a second track and then do a channel swap on one of the stereo channels, then combine them. I think Cubase uses the word "flip".
Search your documents for keywords: flip, bounce, swap, pan, and assign input. You can also copy and paste the recorded channel to a second stereo blank channel before flipping it and combining.

How do you record on tracks 3-8? i can record only on tracks 1 and 2, this is marketed as an 8-track recorder but is it really?? if i cant record on track 3 or track 4 then i just waisted alot of money i...

Hi there,
Yes you can record on the other 6 tracks, but you need to assign them.
If you are having problems assigning them, don't forget that you need to clear the previous assignments (for track 1 and 2 for example) FIRST, before you try and assign to say tracks 3 & 4.

To clear assignments hold down the assign key and the previously assigned tracks should flash. While still holding the assing key, press each one of the flashing channels seperately to un-assign them. Now release the assign key.

Hi i use cubase 4 for the past week but have found several times that when i save the song in a folder on my pc running xp 3 only the audio doc is there not any audio files? please help me..!!

you need to render the track. If you push save and select a folder the project is saved to the selected folder. If you render (or export) the track it will be saved as an audio track.

Getting mic setup thru cubase le 4

Make sure phantom power is enabled on the Tascam audio interface and you must enable the input in cubase that corresponds with the interface input on the track you are trying to record to.

Recording with cubase problem

Need to set it to stereo. There may be a switch on your mixer, and you will also need to change the settings in Cubase to record in stereo, not mono.

Problems setting midi channels using KN3000 and Cubase

If you are sequencing midi tracks you can imbed the patch change in the track and the midi channel assignment and when the sequence plays the info will be sent to the keyboard. Do you have it set to receive Omni?

Tascam us 144 sync problems with cubase le

Hey lea,

i have a similar setup (Cubase LE & Tascam 144) and each time i start up Cubase i have to make sure there is no digital input going to the tascam. once cubase is started up but no project loaded i plug in my spdif from my DAT machine and then open my project and all is fine. does that answer part of your question?

i have a different problem though, i'm trying to record my DAT tapes which are recorded at 32khz and cubase doesn't recognize that sample rate properly. it'll record no problem, and play them back fine, but exporting always creates mismatched sample rates in the exported file. sucks big time and i have got no idea on how to fix it either.
