If you really want to know the true power of your transmitter seek a professional with a calibrated meter such as a Bird like maybe the service man at the Motorola shop or maybe a Ham Radio operator they will be happy to help you.
Hi, my name is John. you need a watt meter, you can purchase it at Radio Shack, or borrow one from a friend. You need a short three foot jumper. With the jumper end to your radio and the other end to meter, it will be marked on the meter. The other to your antenna. Put the meter on ten or twenty watt scale and key the mike. Your reading on the meter will be your watts or close to it.....hope this was very helpful.....Rate this solution on the four thumbs-up...John
