is it a front loader or top loader? what is the model number? normally you have 3 or more water inlet valves 1 for cold water, 1 for hot water and one for either fabric softener and or bleach, id say (without any specific info) that it is simply a jammed/faulty water inlet valve, or if its a front loader you often get this problem if the water pressure isn't high enough to create the siphon in the dispenser, i dont know why they set up the softener dispenser on front loaders as a siphon when the pre and main wash just wash through normally
Hi Try using bleach with hot water, run a cycle with hot water and bleach. Or spray bleach +water mixture on the seal. Run a cleaning cycle with hot water and bleach or vinegar at least once a month to reduce the growth of mold in other parts of the washer. You can also try using 1/2 a cup of Washing Soda or 4 cups of baking soda Crystals and run the machine with no clothes in it. This would remove all the debris, lint & mold growth from the drain pump and drain filter. This would clean the mold from the door seal as well. Please post back for further assistance. Hope this helps... Daniel
Use an oxygen-based bleach first--if not much better, try a chlorine-based bleach. Hot water works better than cold water. Try using a different detergent as well. Do these things one at a time to find which produces superior results. Hope this helps!
could be a few things is it overloaded, stop useing ,softener this coats the washer and cause the pumps to get blocked up as well as the sensors, try doing a few white hot loads with bleach to clean washer as this start to remove the softener the softner also make clothes look like they have grease spots you well need to use spray and wash on these areas and let them soak, there is a product avalible on line or at ace-hardware stores its called smelly wash this product cleans the washer let it soak in wash.this may help your washer out i hope this helps.thanks
ftr loader washers do not have any oil, my guess would be you are using fabric softner . that can stain clothes. dilute with water, they are very concentraded. or your dispenser may not be working properly and not releasing softner at the proper time.i would run a clean cycle through it. meaning set on a hot wash- regular cycle no clothes and run wirth bleach in bleach disenser. do this every other month to keep washer clean hope this helps. make sure its not happening in the dryer , the dryer has frt and rear seals that go bad and start leaving marks on clothes and catching them in beteween the tub.
We found there is three small holes on the seal right inside the door, check to see if they are clogged with soap scum and clean them out. Run a cycle of hot water and bleach. Then, after each use, leave the door open and let it air dry and this has seem to work.
Wash empry with detergent and double bleach with extra hot water. When cycle is complete open the door to the washer and let airdry. When you close the door with it wet it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. You may also not be using the correct detergent or the correct amount of detergent.
these machines are mean on water and you can open the door after wash starts
use good quality soap powder that suits front loaders and always wash at 40 deg or above
the black stuff is body fat that is still in machine called scud to me
also if you use conditioner in rinse cycle stop using that
it can cause same problem
i have used everything to solve this exact problem! I have to say the best detergent or bleach i have used in the lg..is the purex with bleach for colours it seems to work better than anything ive used...spent a fortune to have to soak my whites before putting them in this washer. I must say im disappointed..
