What are connections and connectors for audio output to wireless headset

Hi Richard,

First, you'll need to determine which type of input(s) the wireless headset transmitter has. Most common is the 3.5mm stereo plug designed to slip into the headphone jack of a TV, MP3 player, cell phone, etc. Some transmitters have adapters in the box to allow connecting to the Left and Right channel RCA / phono style jacks found on other components such as CD, DVD, VCR, Stereo receivers / amplifiers, etc.

You'll need to find OUTPUTS of the CD and TV that match the plug on the wireless headset transmitter. If yours doesn't include adapters to go from say the RCA jacks mentioned above - to whatever connector that the transmitter input has - you'll need to go to your local Radio Shack store or similar store to see if they can provide an adapter that will allow you to connect.

Here are a couple plugs / adapters:

Above: A "3.5mm stereo patch cable". Your transmitter may have a cable with an end like this to plug into the TV's headphone jack.

These cables / adapters are typically $5 to $10 maximum.

I hope this helps and good luck!

Were is adio red and white for sound when laptop conects to baird 42 inch

Hi there,

Connecting a laptop to a tv is usually achieved by the use of an audio cable with a 3.5mm stereo plug on one end, and male Red / White RCA connectors on the other end.

Plug the 3.5mm stereo plug into your laptop "headphone" socket, and connect the Red / White RCA connectors to your PC-in audio RCA sockets.

If you tv's PC-In only supports the 3.5mm audio socket, then purchase a lead with 3.5mm stereo plugs on both ends.

Cheers

I have ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND out of my RCA RS2625, I have checked the wiring & all(the speakers wrkd well in the living room on the SHARP stereo when I tested them). Everything is displaying correctly...

Since you all ready tested the wiring and speakers, one or more audio output ic packs have shorted and will need to be replaced, you will need a technician to check the extent of repairs that will be required and I suggest an estimate.

I have an RCA RS2625 system that worked fine for a couple of years until the sound finally went out for good. A local technician says it's the amplifier and wants $110 to fix it, almost as much as I paid...

no its not ,primarily because even if you repair it the cd laser has a few years of use already on it ,lasers have a certain amount of hours before they weaken save the frustration and shop new

No analog comming out of receiver when optical input is used .

as a rule...in order to get analog audio out of a receiver, it must have an analog input. you could use a digital to analog converter between the tv and stereo or come out of both of your source devices (ps3, cable) with analog to the receiver. good luck

Conecting to souround sound

find the audio output jacks. Should be one red and one white, that say output by it. You can get the RCA Audio Jacks that plug in to the tv audio output jacks to your receiver or stereo INPUT jacks.

NOU SOUND

well I have a work around and a solution possibly. first go threw your menu audio and verify external speakers are not turned off. if there is no setting or it is turned on already try a different video/audio input if nothing else if you have good picture you can use a stereo reciever to play the sound you do not have to input audio into the tv if you have surround sound go straight from your device(dvd, vcr, cable box etc.) to your sereo reciever just the audio plugs (red and white, not yellow unless you have a monitor out from your stereo in which you conect all three to the stereo input then one cable from the monitor out on the stereo to the tv in put

Sound Won't play

We had the same problem with our last rca stereo. I don't remember what model it was. My husband took it apart and found that there was and area on the circuit board that was fried. I don't know of any other solution then the one we chose. Trash it. I'm not expert but I would imagine that you could by a new stereo for the price of replacing that circuit board. Just don't buy an rca. They are junk. Our new rca just quit playing cds.
