no agitation check timer and control board. but more likely culprit is the water pressure switch. Which determines water level and when machine goes into agitation mode?
I have the same problem! I'm still trying to figure it out. I read on line that it might be the "small spring" that is not normally replaced during maintenance; also read that it might be the HP valve seat.
it sounds like your pump might have somthing in side it try opening the flap on the bottom right you will see a plastic screw undo it and clean it out that should help ok
It is a HORRIBLE idea for you to dismantle your first stage. It should only be done by a trained technician because of how many small parts there are... now depending on your regulator you might have the ability to turn down the pressure... read the manual to find out if your reg has this adjustment capability.
