Hi if you want reset bios password ( asume you forget it) You need reset bios find reset CMOS jumper or take out battery for few sec. All settings in BIOS will be reset. Let me know if you need more help

If you cannot access the machine after if has been powered up, it is still possible to get past the BIOS password. The car adapter may be the culprit.

If it's not the adapter recommended by Toshiba, than You are heading the quick way to pickling your Laptop.

You should get a error code. You can buy a service on Ebay and for about 13 dolllars you would give them your code and they will give you a code to unlock it.

BIO PASS WORD

Reset BIOS password, it can be done in two ways

Manual
Open the cover under laptop, remove the CMOS battery about 7 seconds, then plug it back. Turn on laptop, BIOS password will be lost. Perform setting date, time, etc.

Online (conditions: the laptop can desktop access)
Toshiba gives services, online flash BIOS. Download and install software ACPI Flash BIOS, according to model of laptop.
Example: Toshiba Satellite L305-SP6983R, software version: ACPI Flash BIOS version 2.20 for Satellite/Satellite Pro L300/L305/L350/L355

Yes of course all Laptop and Desktop have CMOS battery. Screw the back cover of your laptop locate the CMOS battery and remove to clear the BIOS password. Or else you can reset the CMOS by removing the jamper.

I ave a toshiba (l355-s7905)that had problems with operating system and I restored it to an earlier date when I did it somehow reset the bios password now I can't get into the operating system at all nor...

can u get into BIOS, if so then change the boot seq to the foll:
1st boot to CDROM drive
2nd boot to Floppy
3rd boot to HD

insert the WinXP CD in the CD rom and then restart the PC, let it boot from the XP CD....
if it does then u can re-format and install the OS

Hello,

When you installed the system, you entered a BIOS password.
There is nothing you can do to bypass that password. The only solution is to take laptop to Toshiba Certified Service Center to have password disabled.
