Freon is added to the low pressure side. The adaptor will only fit this connection, the high pressure connection is a larger connector. You shouldn't just add freon without checking the high pressure side - you can still overpressurize the system, and this will cause your compressor to kick-off on high pressure.

Were able to fill the a/c with freon but it would run out in a day or two. Tried putting stop seal in it, but the freon cylinder wouldn't puncture, so we could not put freon in right away like it...

The system at this point is shot. The dryer is contaminated with oil and will not function correctly even if the leak were sealed. The system will have to be evacuated , flushed and leak tested, repaired and recharged.

I'm trying to put freon in my car and it won't take it... What can the problem be?

To put freon in the system, the vehicle has to be running and turn the ac to max. it may take 5 minutes or so per can . if it still won't take it ,the valve where you are refilling could be bad or after you put the hose on the can of freon you have to unscrew the t handle screw that is used to puncture the can to release the freon through the hose.

The AC on my 2007 is not as cold as it needs to

Hi,
It may be low on freon but that is usually installed by a service tech anyway. putting in freon isn't like putting in oil...
Maybe you can find a shop along the way who can check your freon level and put in more if needed.
Hope this helps... Good luck!

How do i put freon in my 2006 lincoln zephyr?

best bet is to verify thats your problem first. Have a shop check it for you. If it doesnt need freon and you add some you will create other issues. Also if you actually lost freon on a car this new then you have a leak somewhere. Anything you do will just cause more freon to leak into the atmosphere which is a major no no in the Automobile industry. If we released freon we would loose our licence.

WHERE TO PUT FREON IN A 2001 LINCOLN LS

The Low side Connector port is located on the A/C compressor itself. This is on the bottom of driver's side of engine. You must jack up car and remove access panel behind aluminum wishbone of a arm.

Freon leak in line lincoln continental 97

use 134A and you can put it in your self.. Just pay attention Only instal freon in the low side of your system.. low side is always the larger hose ... Got that ? larger .. small hose is high side is not not the place to put it in .. Find your largest air conditioner hose and follow it out till you find a port to put in freon .. which you can buy it and the hose at a walmart store..they do make a sealant also that will sometimes slow the loss of freon.. let me know if you need more.. jerry
