I can view pictures on my sony DSC-W200 but cannot view or print on the computer. i have done this before succesffullyseveral times but encountered this problem only recently. please help. i transfer images by inserting my memory stick pro duo 2.0gb magic gate directly into my HP photosmart express printer. only htis time i first instered my memory stick into a memory card reader which was attached to my laptop. could this have caused the problem? i desperately need to tranfer the images onto my pc. please help.

Sound like your printer is not designed to read memory sticks. You will need a card reader that reads memory sticks. An inexpensive multi card reader for about $10. should do the trick. They only work on a computer though. So you can see/read the files on the memory stick, download them to your computer, edit and/or print them. To me, this is the logical way to do it. The screen on the printer is too small to make good judgement calls on cropping and you can't edit them either.

Don't know about cam (was there a software disk to install?).
As far as the reader goes you reader must be compatible with both devices.

Some Sony Cybershot camera's have a small amount of memory built into the camera. Double check that the camera is set to put the pictures onto the memory stick.
If the camera is set up correctly, the memory stick may not be formatted correctly for your computer. If at all possible, connect the camera to your computer directly with the USB cable that should have come with it.
