Overflow pipe

In most cases, they do not come with a overflow valve, That is a addon that most companies install when they do the install. They can be purchased from most ac suppliers I recommend the SS-2 or SS-1 safety overflow switch, comes with two wires you can tie into your low voltage wiring to your thermostat.

Hope this helps.

I have a goodman ckl30-1l AC unit. The control board for the furnace has went out and I'm trying to find the model number for it. Could someone help me out please?

the best way is to contact Goodman and ask them for the model, in base from the detail that you have. If you have some wiring diagram or instruc. manual you can identify it. if you do not have downloa give your model +mark+serial number and proceed:

We have a Goodman GSK9 gas furnace. There is a weep hole on the PVC outside of the house, that in the winter develops a vry large icicle against the house and has damaged our wood siding. When we plugged...

Hello Jmranes,
It sound to me like your getting alot of condensation on your exhuast pipe and a weep hole was drilled to "BAND AID" the issue. These is not how 90% plus furnaces are installed. If you are referring to the outside intake and exhaust PVC piping, then there shouldn't be any weep holes. When the furnace is properly installed, the furnace comes with a condensate kit (refer to owners manual) that is mounted on the side of the furnace and all the condensation that collects overflows and should be piped directly into a floor drain. As for the intake and Exhaust for side discharge application, the Exhaust PVC pipe should come out through the side of house and immediate goose neck up (90 degree) with a straight piece of PVC pipe about 2' to 3' or so in length, then a final 90 degree PVC fitting on that so the exhaust blows out. As for the intake, that also comes out the side of the house about 2" to 3" inches parallel to the Exhaust but should only be a 90 degree PVC fitting facing down. The idea here is making sure the furnace doesn't suck in exhaust air. Also, making sure proper size pipe was used. Both outside pipes should be open to atmosphere. I hope this helps.

I need the venting specifications for CAPF3030B6AA furnace that the city inspector is asking for. Do you now where i may get it?

Adhiinc, the model you posted is for an AC coil made by Goodman. You will need to post the Make and Model number for the air handler/furnace that this is connected too. You can find the model number if you remove the front panel and look on one of the sides for a label. Thanks and good luck!

I have a Goodman system and I have water leaking from the the small box next to my furnace. I have what looks like 3 lines running from unit to this box. One is a small copper one, another is a line...

the clear plastic hose is the condensate drain .. indeed they clog frequently .. lthat will allow water to overflow the pan that is desined to capture condensed water from the evaporator.. the plastic hose and the pipe it is attached to need to be cleaned out periodically ... allowing water to overflow can damage other things so its important to get the drain cleared .. however that drain has little to do with cooling efficiency .. your lack of cooling performance could be another problem ... sometimes the evaporator coil gets clogged (large finned unit behind where the overflow hose is attached inside furnace) .. that has to be cleaned once in a while but is tricky to do ... how often depends on how good the furnace air filter is and how often its changed ... as the evaporator becomes clogged with dust the cooling efficiency goes down .. same with the outdoor unit ... you have to wash out leaves and such periodically from the condenser coils .... if every thing is clean but the cooling efficiency is still low then have the unit checked for refrigerrant pressure .. it could be low .. of course make sure the furnace filter is not clogged ... also for cooling make sure all of the registers are open ... closing some can reduce overall efficiency ... make sure the outdoor unit fan is working properly ..
