I have the CMM 1000 and recently bought new batteries. I don't know if the CMM 1200 uses the same batteries, but if not you can probably find them where I got mine. I looked at a lot of places online, and Battery Solutions, Inc. had a really good price.

I recommend not buying a aftermarket battery because usually they are not the same quality. You can buy a brand new orginal black & decker battery on this site:

    these links were useless, they sell the mower for $100 more than Home Depot. They don't sell the battery

    the cordless mower 24v cmm1000 & cmm1200 have the same battery.the only difference cmm1000 has circuit board with the push key on top for safety. cmm1200 circuit board are illiminated the switch handle controls the mower.

I have an older model CMM625, but I suspect that the method is similar. There should be some screws that hold down the upper deck to the lower one. On mine the screws are in the back and there are tabs in the front that holds the upper deck to the lower. Once this is removed, you can see the battery and it's connections and hold down bracketry.

It appears that you will need to contact the service center as in your parts diagram, the bag is not listed. A mulching blade is listed, which doesn't require the use of a bag.

The B & D MM575 mower is not battery operated nor is it cordless. CMM1200 CMM1936 CMM1836 are the currently available cordless mowers. You can buy a battery from B &D, they list it here:

Black&D'er CMM1200 24V is running very slow unable to chew grass
Sounds like a battery problem, you could have a defective cell which is causing a very low voltage to be sent to the motor which = slow spin.

Yes the charge indicator could be related.

You can take the battery apart and find out what type of cell it is and have it replaced...but personally I hate cordless lawn mowers for this exact reason so I would go but a manual push or a gas model.

I am using a replacement AGM Lead Acid battery that increased my mowing distance and does not take more power to charge because the battery has an lower internal resistance. The battery is a Power Sonic, PSH-12180FR, 21Amp Hour unit. You will need to order two of them.

I need the large cordless battery for the black and decker cordless mower, and also need the power charging board in the mower.
the largest is the 24v CMM1000. now the circuit board for the said model are hard to get. but upgrade are available & convert it to CMM1200 model. convertion kit includes instruction how to, a wiring assy & a charger.
