Kitchen aid dishwasher, 3 yrs old, dishes on top rack do not get clean

This is caused by the chopper screen being pluged up you have to take the sump apart and clean the chopper.

had a simular problem, used product called dishwasher magic to clean it well and that took care of it. I got it @ walmart in the diswasher detergent area. Also be sure you are loading according to the manual. I now use lemi shine in every load for spot free clean dishes and put the dishwasher magic in it about every few months to keep it from getting build up. If you have a manual they have directions to take them apart for cleaning and I have had to that before to. Just remember how to get it back together. That's all I have but I'm not a repair person I'm a nurse.

i think your machine not rinse on the top. 1)check any blockage on top rinse arm(nozzle). 2)check the booster pump wrking.

Check all the water jet orfices in the moving arm. Try cleaning without loading the top rack.

If cleans well, mostly the upper rack dishes not arranged properly.

I hope you are using the main wash detergents. Rinse aid is just to remove the stains after the main wash rinse.

If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

**Water temperature Note***

To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

Or prong covers if you just have rust or damage on the tips (I've used ones like these, the long ones stay on good)

start with empty dishwasher,,,add a pint of bleach and rinse on short cycle..onthejob

replace the top spray arm and it should work ok again

Sounds like you have 1 of 2 problems. Either your pump is clogged or you need a bigger drain loop.
