Probably a dirty carb. or if this problem is occuring when the engine has been run and is hot and its the new style easy start engine with auto choke ( no primer or choke lever) then the auto choke unit coud be faulty

DOES 2002 JEEP LIBERTY HAVE AUTO SHUT DOWN WHEN ENGINE GETS TO HOT

Could be a problem with the engine temperature sensor, that send signal to shut down at PCM. Check coolant fluid level and fan relays open in the right temperature.

Hope this helps.

Engine starts and runs for a minute or so starts to sputter then shuts off. will restart, sputtering and shuts after a few minutes. code shows iat sensor, where is it located on the 2003 ford taurus

IAT sensor is the Intake Air Sensor.. It could be temperature or amount and as the engine is stalling, I would suspect that the sensor is not measuring the amount of airflow correctly..Substitute a known good unit as these sensors are not a repairable item..

Going up hill engine shut down

Not enough information for us to make a suggestion. You say the engine shut down? Is the engine seized up or will it start back up? Did the engine make a noise before it shut down? Did it sputter or cough before it shut down? We need more information before we can make any suggestions.

Vehicle chokes, sputters, and then shuts off

Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter. The fuel filter may have reached the end of it's life time and is dirty causing the issues you have. The worst is the fuel pump it self has gone bad and needs to be replaced, the fuel pump should be producing 62 to 65 PSI when the engine is started and should drop no more then 5 PSI when the engine is running. You can check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve with a fuel pressure gauge. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help get your Yukon running 100% again.

I have a 2004 NISSAN SENTRA SE R SPEC V (Nismo), my car sputters

You have 2 Problems, First problem batteries dying you have to make sure connections secure and alternator is charging your batteries (go to an Autozone or Discount advanced they will tell you). The Sputtering is either a bad SPARK PLUG or a damaged Cable going to the spark plug..Change them every 2 years.
