Your transmission is shot. You need to buy a new or used one and install it. Or there may be a rebuild facility which will rebuild yours. Either way it will not be cheap.

Transmission does not run forward or backwards, machine starts and blades turn good but mower does not move

Do have a broken belt?
If the pulleys turn but the tractor does not move before you go farther see if you have a broken shear pin in one of the pulleys You may have a transmission that needs work. if that doesn't work out.

you have a problem in the hydro unit. probably a broken seal that is allowing oil under pressure to escape and build up temp in the unit Suggest you have a massey mechanic inspect and advise the exact cause as it will not be a one off problem

Smoked trans. on hydro trans. mod#917.270940

You drill whole in the bottom of the transmission. Drain the old fluid, then tap in threads for your new drain bolt. The Allen bolt on the top of the transmission is where you put in new 20w50 synthetic oil.

I have a 2000 dyna low rider, the backing plate for the chain adjuster came lose after reseting the screws, engine runs gratebut if i put it in to any gear it does not move,, but also seems hard to get in to...

I had asked for clarification on the "does not move", and said you may have parts from the tensioner between the chain and sprockets. Sorry, this cannot be, since you said the engine runs fine. Again, sorry. Does your transmission clunk or grind when going into gear? OR, does it not make any noise at all when putting it in gear? You say hard to get in gear when you shift? I think I need some more info to help you with this.

Some times when i change down from 3rd into 2nd i hit netraul and from 2nd into 1st i get netraul only happens when engine is hot. xl1200r 2006 model

The transmission "neutral" position is located between 2nd and 1st gear. You say you're also getting a "false neutral" between 3rd and 2nd. Since you say you're finding both, it leads me to suspect that you are not being aggressive enough when shifting the gears. The Sportster has the best shifting transmission of all the Harley motorcycles. Since it does shift so easily, riders sometimes "soft shift" the transmission and wind up missing gearshifts. This is the most likely problem, rider error.

Now, there is the possibility that the clutch is dragging but that usually effects the transmission when upshifting, not so much downshifting. With the engine off and switch on, put the transmission in gear, hold the clutch lever in, press the starter button. If the bike tries to move forward, you need to adjust the clutch.

2000 harley gets caught between gears, what's the problem?

Your low rider has forward controls on it. These controls are not as "positive" as the mid-mount controls. Now, if your clutch is not releasing as it should, this could be the cause of your missed shifts as well.

Or, it could simply be that you need to learn a different shifting technique. Regardless of what you and others may think, your low rider is not a high performance motorcycle. It's a cruiser and should be ridden like one. It has large heavy gears in the transmission because it's a large heavy motorcycle and it will not shift as fast as the lighter bike's transmissions do.

If your transmission does not shift as it should once you're sure your clutch is releasing properly, make sure your primary is not overfilled with oil. If you have too much oil in the primary, the clutch and the oil will act like the torque converter in an automatic transmission.

Stand your bike up straight and remove the derby cover. Look at the clutch assembly. It will look like shiney aluminum. Inside this, you'll see a darker colored "plate" of metal. This is the spring in your clutch. The oil level should be no higher than the lowest point of this spring.

If this does not resolve the problem with your transmission shifting, it will require going into the transmission to have a look at what's going on in there.

Mazda mpv 2000 no work reverse

Transmissions have a series of clutch plates, friction plates, bands, gears and solenoids located inside the transmission. As the vehicle moves forward, these plates operate similar to a clutch on a manual transmission, but using fluid pressure and momentum to do so. Usually these go bad due to lack of proper service intervals. If the fluid is not changed at recommended intervals, it breaks down, similar to engine oil,and causes the transmission to get hot and burn up these clutch plates and bands. Therefore you will get certain gears that will fail to engage. In your case, the reverse.

Need to know how to change oil in 2000 dyna low rider-what kind of oil to use and -how to change transmission fluid and what tranny fluid to use

There are two plugs on the bottom of the transmission, one for the engine oil, one for the tranny lube. The engine oil drain is the one that is closest to the left front corner of the oil pan. The other plug is the transmission.

The engine requires three quarts of oil, the tranny takes 20-24 ounces of oil.. Check the engine oil with the bike on the side stand. There are two marks on the dipstick. The upper mark is the "FULL HOT", the lower mark is the 'FULL COLD" mark. Keep the oil level between these two marks and do not overfill.

On the transmission, on the right side of the transmission, you'll see a chrome clutch release cover. It's behind the exhaust system. There is a plug that takes a 3/8" Allen or Hex key to remove. Check the oil level with the bike standing straight up.

As for what lubricants to use, I always use nothing but Harley-Davidson oil. 20W50 Syn 3 oil in the engine, transmission, and primary on 2000 and later model bikes. However, you can use other oils such as Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobil, Motor Factory, and many others. Synthetic or petroleum based, your choice. Check the website of the manufacturer that you wish to use.

My simplicity Coronet Hydro 13 lawn tractor loses power in the transition after about 20 minute run time. It has a sealed Hydro Gear box. Any suggestions to make it run better? It has a 30" Deck and a...

The fluid in the transmission is a multigrade oil. sometimes you can change the oil by removing the transmission partially or entirely and change the oil to a heavier grade like 15W40 or 20W50, the transmission has a vent mechanism on top that is where the oil would be extracted or drained from and then refilled, the level at full cold is 1" to 1 1/4" below the bottom edge of the inside of the vent pipe or plug boss. some of these had a flat vent plug, some have a hose with the vent in the end attached at a nipple and still some older units had a reservoir like on the larger tractors. The reason your trans is slowing is due to wear in the hydraulic pump face.

Yazoo rider left side pump stalls when cold

Im not a yazoo dealer but I can tell you some easy things to check, If you have a reservoir tank with an oil filter in line, there are two kinds of hoses suction and return if there is an air leak on a suction line it may not show an oil leak but it will put air into the pump making it week most of the time its cheap
hose clamps or loose hydro filter .

A lot of hydro use a gear case bolted right to the pump without any hoses , but that not what we call commercial .
