Recently I received a facebook invitation from a former associate to join her on facebook. When I tried to open a facebook account, I put in all of my information and received a pop up telling me that my e-mail address was already in use. So I tried to log in under my e-mail address again and was told that my password was incorrect. I tried to change my password and received another pop up telling me that someone was trying to change my e-mail address from another computer. I was even told that my phone number was incorrect. The e-mail that came to me was my address but the name on the account is someone else. I have hit reply twice and informed whomever that they had the wrong name registered to my e-mail address but no one has contacted or responded to me.

After two Dells self-destructed on me I gave up on them. They give excellent service to businesses and terrible service to individual home buyers. However, Facebook is really badly written. Wait a few days and try again. Unfortunately it is not a program that you can uninstall and reinstall. If that doesn't work since your TV works, copy down the list of your friends, if you have a second email address open a new Facebook page under that and invite your friends to join it. Of course you should use a different password. Note: everybody should have a minimum of two email accounts - I have four.

Here's the procedure on how how to create Facebook account:

Go to www.facebook.com. Click on, "Sign Up." Follow the directions to create your free facebook account.

Enter your email address. Create a password for your new account. Be sure to choose a password that is easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess. Never give your password to anyone.

Using the, "Friend Finder" and, "Invite More Friends" features, invite your friends to join you on facebook. Edit your facebook profile. Be selective about posting your personal information online.

To cancel your Facebook account follow this steps.

1 Go to www.facebook.com
2 Enter your Email and Password, and sign into your current account.
3 Once you are the main page, look up to the top right of the screen and click "Account", and then in the drop-down menu click "Account Settings".
4 On the bottom of the next screen you will find the "Deactivate Account" section. Click "deactivate". (This will not cancel your account yet).
5 On the next screen, Facebook.com will ask you "Why are you deactivating" and will give you options to choose from. They will also give you space to explain further. Lastly, you can opt out of receiving emails from your Facebook friends. If you do not opt out, you will still receive emails for event invites, picture tags, and requests to join groups.
6 Click the red, "Deactivate My Account" button. Your account will now be canceled.

Click the Account tab in the upper right-hand corner of your main page. The Settings tab should be highlighted and there is a Deactivate link at the very bottom of the list.
When you click it, you will be asked if you are sure you want to deactivate your account and why you are doing so. You will also be shown photos of you with friends with accompanying messages that say "(Your friend here) will miss you."
There is also a box to check at the bottom to opt out of receiving e-mails from Facebook if friends tag you in photos or invite you to join the site.

Make your e-mail private. by going to "account" on upper right side of page. click "account settings". Then on privacy, Click "manage." Then click "Contact information." On your email which should be at the bottom Click on tab to the right. Click "only friends can see your email". If you are worried maybe one of people you are friends or fan page may be giving out your email. go to "custom" and click "just me" That way no one sees your email address.

If your friends have sent u invitation then for access to facebook. Open your mail account yahoo, gmail or hotmail or any other on which your friends have invited u.When u 'll open your mails their will be a invitation mail for u. Open it, There 'll be link to go to facebook, click on this link. when u 'll open it sign up page of facebook 'll open. Just fill the required information there and create your account.
You can also dirctly sign up on facebook. Open
www.facebook.com.
Fill the information there and click on sign up. New pagfe 'll open. fill the required data there and create your account

You cant unsubscribe from the invitations u get from your friends to join face book. Trying blocking mails from face book by changing the account settings of your email address.

When you recieve an invite to join a game, goto account management while game is at main menu (dont open it just press triangle when highlighted) log out of psn, then sign back in. then open the invite from friend and join

we just need to add an S to http IN adrees baar we should put https://www.facebook.com instead of http://www.facebook.com...temporarily try this and after 1 week the facebook page will become normal...
