My Sunforce 2500 W inverter alarm randomly comes on and the short circuit output error code (o.5.b) even though I have no load connected. Happens maybe once every 8 hours. Also, when using the key chain remote the unit turns off and no error codes can be obtained from a shutdown. Is this normal?

Why is my 2500 watt sunforce drawing power from my battery bank when not in use

The batteries are connected directly to the starting circuit of the inverter. If u don’t want it consume any power from the battery I would recommend an isolater switch between the battery and inverter.

ERROR E03 WHATS IS MEAN ON MY CONVERTER 600 WATTS ELIMINATOR

Hi, here is the error codes that I could find for you, it seems you are overloading the inverter. That means you cannot connect a kettle or other heavy load to the output. See all error codes below, hoep this helps.

Problem: The AC load will not operate, error code shows on digital
display and alarm is sounding.
Error Possible Cause Solution
E01 Low voltage shutdown because battery is discharged.
Recharge battery. Shorten cables or use heavier cables.
E02 Over-voltage shutdown because of high input voltage.
Verify the charging system is properly regulated and the battery
is 12 V nominal.
E03 The AC product(s) connected are rated at more than the
inverter's continuous power rating; overload shutdown has
occurred. Use a product with a power rating within the inverter's continuous power rating (see Table 3).
E04 The inverter has overheated due to poor ventilation.
Overheating shutdown has occurred.Turn inverter off and allow to cool for 15 minutes. Clear blocked fan or remove objects covering unit. Move the inverter to a cooler place. Reduce load if continuous
operation is required.
E05 The AC products connected have a surge power that exceeds
the Digital Inverter's surge capability or the AC products connected are short-circuited and shutdown has occurred. The products exceed the inverter's surge capability. Use a product with a starting surge power within the Digital Inverter's capability.

I am using 2500 cobra inverter .when i go to plug in extention cord led comes up ( OPP ) and and i do know what that stsnds for ? no power

Short Circuit Protection - OPP

If the

AC output of the inverter is shortcircuited

for one second or more,

it will shut down to protect itself.

The meter will flash as shown to

indicate Short Circuit Protect and

an alarm will sound.

To restore normal operation,

disconnect the short circuit and

turn the unit

Off and On again
using the

Power Button.

Current flowing down an unintended path, try a new extension cord

Cobra inverter powers up but no power and it flashes OPP

the OPP error is an indication that the AC load "output" is short circuit. Try disconnecting the AV load-device and attempt to try again. Use a lamp or other suitable to confirm that the inverter is pr is not working properly.

It is possible that the load (device) that you have connected either exceeds the inverters power rating or is in fact shorted and the inverter is working properly.

If the opp flashes with no load attached it is likely that the inverter has developed an internal failure.

Hope this helps?

Can this model be used on the grid? If not, is there a sunforce inverter that can be used on the grid?

If you meant for the mains supply then it must be connected in series to the load so that in absence of power the invertor takes over and when there is power the supply takes over as it charges the battery.
So have this wiring done with the connection routed from the fuse box or main board.

Generac generator on auto runs weekly. light green previuosly green. now red. what causes this??

Hi and welcome to FixYa I am Kelly. Your red LED is telling you that it was 1. overloaded. 2. has low voltage 3. overheated or 4. short in the powered circuit.

OVERLOAD LED (red): Lights up if the generator experiences
a load greater than the rated output, low voltage, overheats or
the powered circuit experiences a short. The output is stopped
even though the engine keeps running.

I do not know which of the 4 conditions caused your red light. If you have the read light with no load I would suspect low voltage from the generator / inverter. If it overheated you will also get the Red LED with no load.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hi , i'm sorry but i dont really understand your question , assuming the current draw is around 45 amps then 2 /0 GA is fine , just keep your leads from your panel nice and short , the connection kits are sold by sunforce and there plenty of suitable connectors on the market

Aims 5000w inverter

Try shutting down the load completely, then power up the inverter with no connected load. Then bring a little on at a time and see what happens.
