KDS-R60XBR2 projection 60'' Sony tv the picture is turning yellow why is this happening

Have it serviced by a TV Technician.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. From my past experience, yes. Not sure about the 11v being low. My kdf 45 acted that way when the main lamp went out. Found a replacement on Amazon for around $45 and now good to go! So far about a year and a half. Have had to replace about 4 for friends and family so far with same symptoms. The 5 blinks is indicating the lamp ballast needs replacement your model uses the Sony lamp Ballast 147401211 for sony models KDF42E2000, KDS-50A2000, KDS-50A2010, KDS-55A200, KDS-60A2000, KDS-60A2010, & KDS-60XBR2 amd LDS-R60XBR2

Sony TVs has an Optical Block issue. If there is an issue with the optical block, then there will be green, blue patches or tint on the TV display. Try resetting the TV to the factory settings and try Power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then TV may require service. You can contact the Customer relations team and check for the available options. Sony had repaired free of cost for such issues. Hence, contact the customer relations.

Most likely it is the Optical Block. It has been a issue for most of the Sony LCD Rear Projections manufactured over the last 6 plus years. Your Model may still Qualify as a factory recall. What you need to do is to get in touch with Sony's Customer Service at 1800-222-SONY and see if it does Qualify.
If not, it is a expensive repair costing 1200.00 to a 1500.00.

There are three fans the one that usually fails is located on top of the optical block and cannot be reached by the owner unless you take the set apart yourself. What is happening is that one of the fans are not spinning fast enough or has stopped altogether. The best solution is to replace all three fans cleaning may not be enough to get a slow fan up to speed, and the tech should blow out the dust in the duct work. This is what the tech coming out will (or should) be doing. Also some fans will have an intermittent startup, and cause this intermittently, so it is a good idea just to replace the fans instead of just cleaning them.

the projector bulb has gone out you need to replace it.

I had the same problem last year and when I contacted the Sony repairman he looked it up and said it was the fan. He said the red light blinks 5 times to signal the fan is blown.(According to their booklet). He came and replaced the fan and it was as good as new. Good luck!

I have a Sony KDS-R60XBR2 60" SXRD and the power/standby light flashes green 96 times than it switches to a RED lamp light that flashes steady. Do you know what it means?
