I have a Kenmore Washer series 70 model number 110-20722 that stops spinning before all the water is expelled. I can then restart the spin cycle and the water is all expelled. So I think the pump is ok. I put several gallons of water in it (without any clothes) and put it on spin and all the water was expelled. Any solutions? Where is the pump and the filter on this model. First thing is to remove the 2 screws from the console, they may be hidden in the front or bacl of console. After removing screws, lightly push the base of the console towards the front of the washer and pick up. This will expose your lid switch connection. Using a jumper wire, jump out the black and white wires then try advancing your washer into spin/drain. The culprit will usually be the lid switch assy.

I've had the same problem...you can purchase a replacement lid switch at your local appliance parts store for about $35. Fortunatly, the sales person at the appliance store had diagrams and provided instructions to replace the switch. I was able to finish the job and fix the switch in less than 1 hour. Good Luck.

There should be a 3 inch by 8 inch cover on the right rear of the top of the dryer. Open the lid, grab the handle and pull the long wire mesh filter out. Clean off the lint and reinsert, curved side down.
