There are few types of viruses. There are trojan, who control your computer. There are batch files with unwanted commands (it activates only if you open it). There are programmed viruses who are not controled, but have they'r own path or list of commands (sort of "to do" list).

Is my kaespersky anti-virus active? i am getting a message on my computer that says it has been turned off.

There may be malware that is interfering with your ant-virus software. Make sure you have the latest virus definition file on your system. Alternatively uninstall and reinstall the anti-virus and update the Virus definition file of your Anti-virus. You must act quickly and remove your system from the network or the internet

I can not make update for norton antivirus , massage number LU1814 apper

Update your antivirus program if an update wasn't performed during the install or you didn't have an Internet connection available to you during the installation.

Update your virus definitions, the "signatures" that identify known viruses. When you buy your antivirus program, you'll receive a subscription for an update service which will allow you to download any new virus definitions. The update subscription is often for a year, so eventually you'll have to purchase a new subscription.

Upgrade your antivirus program. Antivirus companies release new versions of their software every few years. The new version will have features not available in your current system. Purchase these new upgraded programs and you'll have the latest features, enhanced virus protection and a fresh subscription for virus definition updates.

Maintain your antivirus software by scheduling automatic updates. If you rely on manual updates, you can easily forget to perform them and your virus definitions can fall behind

be sure that virus definitions on your anti virus client is fully up to date. Having an anti virus software with an out dated virus definition is like having a gun with out any bullet. Update your virus definitions and do a full scan on your laptop.

maybe you have a malware on your computer. unfortunately some of the antivirus cannot detect some viruses, it happens to me also. but when i try to scan it using kaspersky or other antivirus i have detected viruses that im not even aware of. Or you can try installing a different browser, just to make sure that a virus doesnt infect your browser and display that kind of message. If problem still continues. I suggest reprogramming your pc.

I hope this works;

I have bought this product a few month ago and now two month later my laptop and computer is still slow and have threats of all kinds

Try installing antivirus software like Quickheal, Kaspersky.
Tune up your PC using a Registry Cleaner like "Eusing Registry Cleaner" or go Microsoft Web Site & try their free registry cleaner.

Hope this helps you..

Norton failed to detect worm.win32.netsky. My computer is infected with the virus and I need help. Patti

Hello Patti,

First, you need to update the Norton with the latest virus definitions and perform a scan again. It may detect the virus and remove it.

If it does not, we need to format the hard drive of the computer and reinstall the operating system as it is the most effective way to get rid of the virus.

Wish you good luck

Pc problem..pls help!

you definitely have a virus in your pc, it disables your task manager, registry editor, even the command prompt.

solution:

update and run a complete anti virus scan of your pc.
You may have to edit your registry after the scan, to restore any errors done by the virus. BE CAREFUL.

There are also a lot of tools that would fix your registry for you like combofix, flash disinfector and regfix http://windowsxp.mvps.org/reg/EnableTM.reg
