Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer

My Maytag Neptune front load washer continues to fill with water.

My Maytag Neptune front load washer continues to fill with fresh water after the wash, rinse and spin cycle is complete, causing the door to open and flood the room. Why?

    I have this same problem with my Maytag Neptune. The repairman did not fix it. Help!!

Pull the washer 120VAC power cord. Does water continue to flow into the machine?

If yea you have a Stuck Open water valve. If know then you may have a stuck pressure switch.

Are you going to try to DIY the repair? Further troubleshooting will be required.

Maytag neptune washer wont fill water


It is very possible for it to be a valve failur as these machines have a temperature control incommon, It recieves voltatge through the temp control.

On my Maytag Neptune MAH-3, the water is running non-stop


check plastic hose out side of tub to pressure switch
if ok replace pressure switch

if the water continues to fill even with power off, and you have to manually shut in off at the wall valve, the 3-way inlet valve is stuck open. you have to replace it. $90

Water fill


Try unplugging the unit. If it stops filling you have a control board problem. If it continues to fill, you have a bad fill valve that is not closing properly, usually because of dirt or scale buildup thats gotten past the inlet screen on the valve. Good Luck!
