SOURCE: neff oven door (U1661)

The door is v heavy and the hinges being right at the bottom take a lot of strain, especially when the door is in 'half open' position. Once the springs start to wear the hinges are no longer strong enough to hold the top of the door firmly closed. Our U1661 is 8 years old and we've had the hinges replaced twice under extended warranty. The second time the hinges they supplied don't hold the door in this position and it will just drop straight down if you don't support it while you open it.

The oven fan element has failed, you need to fit a new one.

Remove inner rear panel of oven and you will see the round element at rear.Unscew screw(s) that secure element, disconnect leads, and fit new element.
Refit element cover.
Job done..
Make sure you have power off to oven before you start.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Neff U1721 bottom oven not heating fan & light are ok

Yes it will need a new element, if the fan runs and temperature light comes on then the element is gone.

SOURCE: The fan and oven light in bottom oven works but not heat.

The heating element is the likely culprit as they burn out and go open
circuit..(ie ...disconnected and will not heat up )
If you can use a multi-meter , then the element can be tested using the resistance range (with the oven SWITCHED OFF )

We have a belling induction cooker. The trip blew now E5 is flashing on the hob, only two of the hot plates are working and neither of the ovens are working. It's only 2.5 years old.

Unfortunately, Induction hobs on domestic cookers have always been a problem. A single, one ring catering hob is $1,200 and is expected to last 2 years in an industrial environment.

There are two videos here, but I reckon you will need a service call.

Knobs on hob above the oven getting very hot. Guess heat must be escaping from the oven. Any suggestions?

Try putting a layer of insulating materials between the Knob and the oven. That should help.

Thermal protection fuse has started burning out when oven self-cleans. Ran fine for years, now this has started happening. Not every time it self-cleans, but have now replaced second fuse in 2 years. Is...

Hi,

The most common reason for this is the door not sealing properly, if hot air escapes out the seal during the clean cycle it will be pulled across the thermal fuse.

The second most common cause is reduced air flow. If the blower wheel is dirty it cannot move as much air across the fuse to keep that area cool, if the vents just above and below the door are dirty and dusty they can block air flow too.

My stoves oven is burning my kitchen cupboards

If you could provide some more information, then I may be able to help. What part of the oven is causing the problem, i.e. top or bottom door. If the doors don't shut properly then this may cause the hot air to escape. If it is one of the doors, is it sitting square in the frame?

Have no signage on knob for top oven/grill..how do I know f it's grill or oven on when I turn it on?

If you turn the grill on, then only the top element will get hot in the oven.
if you select oven and it is fan assisted, then you will hear the fan working, and feel it blowing hot air.
Hope this helps.

My oven is a kenmore gas single, self cleaning oven about 8 years old. the oven will not light. the top of the stove is fine.

Open the oven door and take the bottom panel off. you will be able to see it the hot surface ignitor starts to glow or not. Now turn the oven on and see if the hot surface gets red hot it not that is the problem. Should be able to get the part at a heating and air parts house or a appliance parts house. let me know what you find out. ken

Keep having to replace element

Not neccesscarily a problem with oven, as it is quite a common fault with fan ovens.
You could make sure that the fan is running properly, and is free to turn, and that the fan blades are not covered in grease etc',
Make sure that oven door seal is o/k, as hot air escaping here will lead to longer running times.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.
