You can try to remedy the situation and finally start sending mail again:
Check Your Outgoing Mail Server Settings

  1. Navigate to Tools > Accounts... from the menu.
  2. Highlight the desired account and click Properties.
  3. Make sure the correct server name is entered under Outgoing mail (SMTP): on the Servers tab.
  4. On the same tab, verify My server requires authentication is checked if needed (which is typically the case). Under Settings, you can specify a username and password 1-800-243-0019 different from your incoming mail credentials.
  5. On the Advanced tab, make sure This server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked under Outgoing mail (SMTP): if your outgoing mail connection must be encrypted.
  6. Check the port under Outgoing mail (SMTP):, too. Typical ports include 25and 465.

Windows live does not send but can receive in win 10

Check your mail settings against your mystery mail provider.

Google

(mystery mail provider name) settings for (name of mystery mail program)

Collecting mail is usually easy, but sending requires special settings like Port Number and whether of not they use SSL and authentication password.

If it worked before and suddenly stopped working, reboot and try again. Wait at least an hour and try again.

In Windows Live Mail, drag the mail from the Outbox and put it in Drafts. Do a Send and Receive, then open up the mail from the Drafts folder and Send again.

Google Mail won't send, goes to my 'OUTBOX'

With the limited information you have provided, the best thing I can recommend is going to Mail preferences (click 'Mail' on the menu bar, right next to the apple icon at the top left corner, and then select 'Preferences...'). Then go to the 'Accounts' tab, select the problematic account on the left and then click the '-' button at the bottom of the screen. This will remove the account and any settings you have saved for it. After you've removed it, click in the '+' button and fill in the information in order to add your account again. Your messages will be downloaded (you won't lose any of them in the process) and if the problem was caused by a setting, it should be fixed now.

I sent an e-mail with about 30 photos. It still reads ''sending mail''. Cannot delete message from Outbox.

That is because it is taking a long time to send the photos. If you want to kill it off, you have a few options. First off, try to close Outlook. If it fails to close, then you can try to kill it off using Task Manager.

Now, this part is tricky. Once Outlook has closed, you want to get in and delete the message in the outbox FAST! So, try this. Start Outlook and immediately go to the Outbox, select the msg and delete it. If you dont do this fast enough, it will begin to transmit it and you will be stuck with the same problem.

If this does not work , you can try going in to your mail accounts (Control Panel) and disabling your accounts (basically dont give Outlook an account to send/receive from/to). Then delete the msg from your Outbox, then go back and re-enable the accounts.

Good luck

I am not receiving my yahoo mail, any suggestions

Hi,
please make sure that you are able to open and send mails. If not please send request to your mail admin/helpdesk. If you are able to send mail, just send mail to yourself, if you get, everything is OK. otherwise try to remove your undesirable mails nincluding inbox, outbox, sent Items, draft and trash (Deleted Items).

If you are using mail from an exchange server, please contact your MS Exchange administrator to know your space and attachment size limit.

If you are using outlook, please have a backup of your existing pst and ost and create new one.

Best of luck, if not able, pl contact me

E Mail send problems

Initially all messages you send will go directly to the outbox first. Automatically though it should send after a while. Sometimes it could take up to an hour. If you want it to be sent at the exact moment, just press the "Send/Receive" button and that will shoot your mail from the outbox.
