Water flow of filter too slow

LG Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
Model No: GR- F258JTT
The flow of the water from the water filter is so slow that we have stopped using it! Despite changing the filter several times.
How can we increase the speed of the water flow?
Thanks

I rolled out the fridge with some help and found that my white (cheap) water supply hose was indeed kinked. Flexing it back to as close to round as possible, the water dispenser stream returned to normal.
To prevent this from happening again, I simply took an old clothes washer supply hose and electrical taped it to stretch it out and give it strength to avoid coiling up again. I could replace it with a braided metal supply line, but this did the trick and it didn't cost me anything but time.

When was the last time you changed the water filter? If the filter is clogged from long usage it will slow down the water flow. Filters should be changed 6-12 months.

OK I see you changed the filter. See if the water shut off valve is turned full on or see if your water line may be kinked somewhere. Follow the line all the way to the main water source.

I faced the same problem. The water shut off valve was turned full on ,however it was too tightly turned on.Gave it a little slack and water flow turned out just right!Thankyou for your input.

Changed the filter but water is coming out slow from the water dispenser

Most likely your water flow is restricted by Ice build up within the small reservoir located in the refrigerator section. If that is not a problem then you could have a flow valve that's not opening fully.

Water flows very slow out of the dispenser on my samsung refrigerator

Try replacing the filter again, If it works again then you might want to think about putting some sort of water softener system in your home

Low water flow

Make sure the hose behind the fridge is not kinking up, slowing down the flow rate of water.

Water overflows from icemaker & freezes in the freezer. Makes three ice cubes in a day & the water is extremely slow to fill glass from freezer door!

If both the water in door and ice maker are experienceing slow water problems the common point is the water supply itself.

This can be caused by:
1. Water supply shut off valve is partially closed or blocked with debris.
a. TURN water supply OFF
b. Remove the water line from the rear of the refrigerator ABOVE the in line filter (if one is installed)
c. Place the removed line into a bucket.
d. Turn on water supply and check flow. It should fill an 8 Oz glass in about 8 seconds.
If it passes this test then the water supply is fine. If it FAILS this test either cflear the obstruction in the line or replace the water supply valve from the house connection.

Test 2 (Water supply is OK
Reconnect water supply to external in-line filter (If installed) or water valve assy connection.
Your unit has a Verticle filter that if it is clogged will cause slow water flow.
Test water thru the door for the same amount of water flow. It should fill an 8 Oz glass in 10 seconds or less.
If it does ot do this then the VERTICAL internal water filter is clogged. (5 months or 500 Gallon change interval)
REPLACEMENT filter is PN LT500P but there are several like / suitable aftermarket replacements for the LT500P number.

As for the ice maker freezing up. There is only one cause for this and that is the water valve assy itself is bypassing water when it is supposed to be closed. The only remedy for this is to replace the water valve. They are not repairable.
The valve is available through sears parts direct:

Could you please tell me if replacement doors are available for my LG Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Model No GR-F258JTT . I am living in Perth WA , and if so what would the cost be and who could do the...

look in the yellow pages under large appliance repair. You should be able to find a tech. who can get LG parts and can replace your door or door skin. You will have to get an estimate, or ideally three estimates so you know you are not getting taken to the cleaner. good luck.

Water flow on my Maytag ICE20 is very slow.

The orifice into the filter is getting clogged. A toothpick or small paperclip will clear it.

Problem with water flow in LG LRBC22544 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

Sounds like you have excess pressure building up in the water system. Is the water dispensor working? If not it sounds like you have a frozen line somewhere or the valve in the door is not working to allow the water to dispence.
