My cub cadet stops running 5-10 minuts

i dont know nothing about the cub cadet but if its doing that i would change the camshaft positioning sensor

check the fuel filter and fuel line. it may need to be insulated to protect from heat. running on choke means it is starving for fuel . take the carburetor off and clean it real good. be sure the fuel lines are away from heat source.

maybe bad sending unit most likely or bad oil pump

Check for oil filters on the wheel drives, Try replacing.

I have a Cub Cadet 2155 lawn tractor that mows great, purchase in 1999, however it started heating up about an hour into mowing and then I have to shut it down until cools. I have replaced the air filter & that did not work ?

Check your magneto. I have had them cease to function whenever they would get hot. When cooled down, they would work.

Yes you may need a carb kit. It is not good practice to by-pass the fuel filter. The orifice in the jet is very small.
But anyways, There Could still be a blockage inside the carb, a small leak at the manifold, or the jet is worn out.

loosen fuel cap as it runs. might not be venting.

try cleaning the air filter and make sure no grass is stuck under the guards (build up) do this while not running of course lol
