3 cylinder Perkin diesels were used for a long period of time in MF units
the mPN is HTS0391- alternate numbers -3639020M1
any accredited diesel specialist shop will be able to get you one or be able to repair and recalibrate your unit
you can mention that it is out of a MF tractor but the details that you want are a 3 cylinder Perkins engine
The original brand is CAV but there are other makes available
I cant give you an exact date but it is from the early 70s. That is when they were yellow. My educated guess on this is 1973. If you go to a Massey Ferguson dealer with your numbers they will gladly tell you what year it is exactly.
this tractor was produced in the years 1972 to 1977 and production was finally stopped due to it not having roll over protection , although many were retro fitted with a hoop later last years of production so depending if you have a hoop over the operator seat or not would narrow down your production date
Climb up into the tractor's seat. Look below the lower left-hand side and lower right-hand side of the steering wheel panel for the serial number. Certain older Ferguson tractors have the serial number stamped to a plate that is mounted to one of these areas of the steering wheel panel.
Inspect the left- and right-hand sides of the tractor's main frame. Certain older Ferguson tractors have the serial number stamped to a plate on the outside of one of these areas of the main frame.
Inspect the top of the transmission housing for the serial number. Certain older Ferguson tractors have the serial number stamped to a plate that is mounted to the top of the transmission housing.
I believe that a manual for your tractor is available through Repair Manual Download at: http://www.repairmanualdownload.com/tractors/mf-35.php It's around $20 and its an immediate download as a PDF file. I hope this helps you out.
