Don't know what is the model number of your fridge. 1.Need check electric water valve under the fridge. If that fridge made by GE (Kenmore just a Sears brand name and they use several others manufacturers for refrigeration), usually it's a frozen plastic water supply line inside freezer door. You could unplug fridge for 24 hours (you have to put food from freezer to other freezer).

Hello,
There are as you can imagine many possible causes for you no ice condition. I will give you the most common problem for the year model you have. I hope this helps you.
You will need to remove the ice maker from the freezer compartment to check it. Once it is repaired if the following information does help, and you reinstall the ice maker, it should go through a cycle automatically within an hour of your reinstalling it in the freezer compartment.
Once you have the ice maker out of the freezer compartment you will need to remove the white cover on the end of the ice maker and look at the center of the large white gear. If the part inside the hole in the center of the gear is broken or looks twisted, you will need to replaced the module. The module is the part that has the large white gear and is held in the ice maker by 3 phillips head screws. It only comes as an assembly. You can't get just the little broken piece.

Sherman usually (not always) the problem is a frozen delivery spout coming in back of the freezer. look where your ice maker and on the back wall and up behind that you will see the delivery spout area. The water valve may be bad or not opening also but it most likely has 2 solenoids 1 for water in the door and 1 for the ice maker. If you have checked and have the ability turn off the water and reverse the water inlet lines on the water valve. This is just to make sure the water passage is open. Hit the cold water cupplunger then look and see if you have water that cam into the ice maker if not your problem is in the valve or the line to the ice maker. Next hit the same plunger with the water line disconnected if you have water then your problem is in the freezer delivery and needs defrosting and cleaning if its a plastic spout it probably has lime covering it inside and freezes over or the water valve is leaking by a little and refreezing. with the water line off yuo will quickly know if its leaking by. and cover with a towel to prevent a mess if it sprays out when you try the plunger. If it still dosnt work try to check the coil on the water valve both coils should read about the same. If after all this works and you have water everyplace (thats why I said use the towel) the problem is in the ice maker circut. Either it is the main power, the ice maker motor its self, or or most likely its the fill valve switch. In any case if you purchase a new replacement Ice amker head all this will be new.OR Either replace the switch if it checks open or if its loose or there are broken parts. It requires a cam to open and close the switch so it only opens for about 5 to 15 seconds. .Hope this helps you let me know if I need to tell you more. Rate me accordingly please and Good luck.

Most likely need to replace the water inlet valve. The water supply line should be directly connected to it. There are 2 valves bracketed together, 1 for the ice maker and 1 for the water dispencer. You will probably have to buy both valves, but want to do this anyway as the second valve will fail soon. Hope this helps.

Probably a broken plastic tube from the solenoid valve to the water outlet tube. It will stay dry until you try to get water then it may take a few days to dry out.
Good Luck,
