You do not change the drive oil on these tractors. It is supposed to be good for the life of the mower according to sears craftsman.

I finally took off the body because the pin you pull out in the back was not unlocking the transaxle either. I found two filler holes. Filled them up and it runs fine. Must have a leak though cause I have to fill it up about once a month but it's much less costly than replacing the trans. Now that I know where the filler holes are I can fill them with the body on.

Whatever turns the belt won't engage on DGS 6500 craftsman garden tractor.

The electric PTO clutch.

This unit has a single fuse for the entire system.

Could be PTO switch, ignition switch, clutch, or any connections between these components.

Craftsman DGS 6500 garden tractor won't engage

Hi
There is a pin in the back by the hitch - make sure it is pushed in. If it is pushed in then check to see if there are any oil leaks under it.
