I don't have a remote but when I turn the power button on to the tv the red light timer keeps flashing and no picture...please tell me what I can do

Panasonic DLP TV Bulbs

Make sure its an original Osram or Philips bulb inside the housing. If its a cheap lamp it will act this way. If it is an original lamp, then you may have a power supply issue. It shouldn't affect your TV but you may want to try resetting the lamp timer by following the instructions that came with the lamp.

While pressing the VOL- button on the projection display, hold down the number 0 button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.

Caroline, i am sorry to hear you troubles, and i don`t have any good news for you, the flashing of the power light indicates a fault and its more than just replacing a fuse, there are many protection circuits in your TV to prevent an even more costly repair and one of them is not happy. sorry

My Sony trinitron has the stero lite on steady and standby lite flashes four times then pauses and repeats. Can you tell me the circuit/condition causing the set to not turn on.

1. Press tv on your Sky remote control.

2. Press and hold down select and the red button together until the red light at the top of your Sky remote control flashes twice.

3. Press tv again

Then enter the remote control code using the number keypad. The red light will flash twice if a valid code has been entered.

4. Point your Sky remote control at your TV and press the Power button. If this turns the off as you'd expect, then the tv should be set, press Select and the remote should work

5. If the TV does not turn off press tv, then press the Power button again, repeat this process until the TV turns off, when the TV turns off press Select.

if its a sony bravio LCD the backlight inverter failed

A reset won't fix this. The standby light should be blinking a repeated count with a 3 second pause inbetween. Post that count here. That will indicate the circuit/condition that is preventing the set from turning on.

same problem. TV turns on but no picture or sound. when i press power button on the remote control orange light flashes for about a minute and goes back to red.
TV won't turn on. It iz frustating me a lot ay !

Hi to all, My 42" Panasonic plasma have the same problem. It turned itself off and now red light flashes 7 times, than after short pause 7 times again. And so on. Any ideas what is wrong??
