I am looking for sony remote control dx-500 very where for my 400 dvds player and its discontinue item. When I ordered and they gave me a replacement with dx 700 but it does not work with my dvd so we sent it back.

It's probably stuck on an a memory card setting. The original remote might have a control that selected the setting and as not been switched off. If you can get the main menu up on the player see if you can find a factory reset option. That should return all settings to the original.

Hi, go to ebay under parts and ofcourse dvds vhs combo remotes different sony dealers that sell on there will come up and you might see your part right away or need to look further, or call one of them. But real big choice, I have the feeling you will be going there for everything in your future, hope it works out, it should, I'm always buying on there, and shipping is great. Always look for the place that's free shiping, it gets expensive if you need to pay.
