I have a Duo-Therm, mod# 600315.321 on a motorhome. Fan motor overheats, but only after the compressor kicks on. New motor, swapped out caps w/identical working unit. Ground is good. Unit will run all day OK w/just fan, but when put on "cool", it will run and produce cold air for 15 min, the fan then quits. Compressor will run for 5 - 10 minutes more by itself, then the circuit breaker kicks.

SOURCE: No Cold Air

Have you removed inside filters and cleaned them? have you gone up and removed the cover to see if fins are dirty, or perhaps wasps etc. Does fan only have one speed on thermostat. Does fan run faster on fan only operation? Is it tripping your breaker at all?

SOURCE: installing rv roof airconditioner heat strip

I see what you see also in the manual. The difference is the Heat Strip package that part is optional and the 600212-001 with the optional heat strips becomes the new 600315-001 I talked to Dometic Duo-Therm and the models are the same but they both are not heat pumps but the new heat strip package comes on when told to go into heat mode when you change the thermostat to heat. The part you purchased will fit both model numbers you listed for your roof top air conditioner. Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: The Duo-Therm AC in the motorhome has started

More than likely water is pooling on top of the rv and leaking thru a crack next to the unit. The other problem would be the drain hole is plugged you will have to remove the top to ck. good luck

Have A Duo-Therm air conditioner on top of my motorhome and it stoped cooling, the fan works fine. Is there a fuse in the box under the filter? It says there is on the out side. I am not sure where it...

Can you please reply with model number off bottom of upper (roof) unit. Should be able to see it when filter is removed from ceiling assy. Please include model of thermostat if possible. You say fan works, but when turned to cool, no compressor kicking in? Try shutting unit off, and turn off breaker at panel as well, give it a few minutes and retry and see if anything changes and let me know.

Hi,
Sounds like the compressor is toast...if the caps have been changed and there is voltage there, you have done all you can...replace the compressor or buy new...
